Television actor Kushal Tandon revealed that his mother, Sandhya Tandon, cancelled a planned trip to Turkey after the country expressed support for Pakistan following India's Operation Sindoor — a mission launched by India on May 7, during which nine terror launch pads in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) were targeted in retaliation for the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives. This comes after Turkey and Azerbaijan issued separate statements backing Pakistan on Wednesday.
Taking to social media, the 40-year-old actor wrote on Friday, "My mom and her friends were planning to go next month, and now they have cancelled their whole trip, even with no refunds getting back from the hotels and airlines, remember do your bits."

On Wednesday, Turkey and Azerbaijan issued statements expressing solidarity with Pakistan and condemning India's airstrikes on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
While Turkey's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the operation was a provocative move, Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the strikes.
While Turkish Airlines is under fire from Indians on social media, Mumbai-based travel company Go Homestays announced on Thursday that it has ended its partnership with the airline over its unsupportive stance towards India.
