Television actor Karan Veer Mehra, who is currently locked up inside the Bigg Boss 18 house, will be seen revealing that he struggled with alcoholism and the guilt of his broken marriages. In the upcoming episode, he will be seen pouring his heart out while interacting with a journalist.

The makers of Bigg Boss 18 shared a promo in which Karan can be seen opening up on dealing with failures in his life. It was then that he admitted to turning to alcohol at one of the lowest points of his life.

"You turned to alcohol for peace?" the journalist asked, to which Karan replied, "There was a time when I had become alcoholic. Kuch karne ko nahi tha toh peete peete ghar ka ho gaya tha."

The journalist also questioned Karan about his failed marriages and being labelled as 'toxic', to which he replied, "I only feel disturbed about the fact that it would have been better if two people were not involved in all of this," hinting at his ex-wives.

For those unversed, Karan was earlier married to his childhood sweetheart Devika from 2009 to 2018. However, they ended their 9-year-long marriage for reasons unknown, and in 2021, Karan got married to actress Nidhi Seth. But the second marriage too ended up in divorce as they announced their separation in 2023.

Post the divorce, Nidhi had told Times of India that "toxicity in any relationship should not be accepted", hinting at the reason behind the trouble in their paradise.

In one of the earlier episodes of Bigg Boss 18, Karan had shared that his first marriage with Devika ended as it "could not withstand the blitz of the glamour world."

"As my career grew, she also chose to become a part of this charismatic world, and soon, we began to drift apart. I felt like I had begun to slip from her list of priorities. Consequently, our equations changed and I got linked to actresses, actors and creative producers, and it was the beginning of the end," he had said.
