Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon was recently spotted at the Mumbai airport, but it wasn't just her casual chic look that drew attention. It was a luxury face mask she carried in her hand that set social media buzzing.
In videos and photos that surfaced online on Monday (April 21), Kriti was seen in a comfortable off-white V-neck sweater paired with matching pants, white sneakers, and sunglasses. While her outfit gave off relaxed travel vibes, it was the Burberry mask, priced at nearly Rs 10,000, that became the talk of the town.
Interestingly, the actress didn't wear the mask but simply carried it in her hand.
The mask, made in Burberry's iconic vintage check cotton fabric, sparked a wave of reactions online. Many netizens were quick to point out the irony of the situation.
While some fans defended the actress, calling it a personal style choice, others turned it into meme material, comparing the designer accessory to street-side versions that cost a fraction of the price.
"Rs 10,000 for a mask she didn't even wear?" commented one user under a now-viral Instagram post. Another quipped, "Same design available for Rs 30 outside my metro station."
"Mera toh same 20 rupees ka tha," wrote another user. "Kya fayda itni mahangi mask ka jab hath me hi lekar ghumni hai," read another comment.
"Really 100rs wale or isme kya fark hai?" asked another user.
Meanwhile, Kriti returned from her UK vacation and on Sunday, she gave a glimpse of the fun she had. Sharing photos from her vacation on Instagram, the actress wrote, "A much needed RESET."
