Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu, Mohan Babu, R. Sarathkumar, Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal, is all set to release on June 27, 2025. Well, the first review of the film is out, and it is by none other than superstar Rajinikanth. Vishnu took to X and revealed that the Coolie star watched the film on Sunday (June 15, 2025), and after watching it the veteran actor hugged him.
Vishnu tweeted, "Last night, @rajinikanth uncle watched #Kannappa. After the film, he gave me a tight hug. He told me that he loved #Kannappa. I’ve been waiting 22 years as an actor for that hug!!!"

Kannappa Trailer
Kannappa is a Telugu movie, but it will be dubbed and released in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. The trailer launch of the film was supposed to take place last week in Indore but was cancelled due to the Ahmedabad plane crash. Later, it was just released online.
While informing about the trailer launch being cancelled, Vishnu had posted, "My heart breaks for the lives lost in today’s Ahmedabad Air India crash. In deep mourning, we’re deferring the #Kanappa trailer release by one day and canceling tomorrow’s Indore pre‑release event. My prayers are with the families during this unimaginably difficult time."
Kannappa Pre-Release Buzz
The pre-release buzz of Kannappa has been decent. The movie might take a good opening at the box office in Telugu, but it will be interesting to see if the film will do well in other languages or not.
In Hindi, Kannappa will be clashing with Kajol starrer Maa and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Nikita Roy. So, let's see what response the Vishnu Manchu starrer will get in the Hindi markets.
