Actress Janhvi Kapoor reacted to the recent series of drone and missile attacks launched by Pakistan, which targeted key military installations in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur. The attacks came a day after India carried out strikes on nine terror camps within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Janhvi revealed that the visuals on news channels and social media on Thursday night felt like they were something out of a movie, something she had never fathomed seeing in her lifetime, especially happening on Indian soil.

Taking to her Instagram story on Friday, Janhvi wrote, "It was a kind of anxiety I had never experienced before. And it made me think of all the times we'd remark on foreign conflicts from a safe distance and call for an end to any and all kinds of confrontation between countries. But this time it's at our door step."

She added that India is never the aggressor, never invades, and never imposes itself on places or people that do not welcome Indians.

"Yesterday after decades of being at the receiving end of cowardly attacks we chose to hit back. We finally said enough. The might, power and strength of our armed forces was never any secret. But yesterday, despite the terror and uncertainty of what may unfold, there was a sense of security," added the Dhadak actress.

Janhvi also expressed gratitude towards the Indian Armed Forces for their unmatched contribution to the nation's safety, stating that they protect the people of India, its soil, and its sovereignty.

Her note further read, "We stand united. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist and Christian alike. We are Indian. And although no war is ever really won, we will emerge stronger than before-teaching our neighbours that we will no longer turn a blind eye to their anarchy. I pray that all innocent lives are safe and protected on both sides. I pray this comes to an end once and for all, very soon."
