On Sunday (April 6), actress Jacqueline Fernandez's mother, Kim Fernandez, passed away. She breathed her last at Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, where she had been admitted to the ICU on March 24 following a stroke. Kim's funeral is set to take place today, the actress was seen arriving at a crematorium with her father, Elroy Fernandez.
The actress was seen covering her face with a mask, dressed in a white outfit. Kim, who lived in Manama, Bahrain, had previously faced a similar health crisis in 2022 and had been hospitalised in Bahrain back then as well.

Her Fateh co-star, Sonu Sood, also arrived to pay his respects.
The Kick actress even skipped her performance at the opening ceremony of the Indian Premier League in Guwahati last month, held ahead of the match between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the ACA Stadium in Barsapara.
A source close to her then told ANI, "Jacqueline's mother is still in the ICU recovering. As the family awaits further update from the doctors, Jacqueline has chosen to be by her mother's side, and unfortunately will be missing performing at the IPL Ceremony."
In an old interview in 2014, Jacqueline, who resides in Mumbai, spoke about her mother's support and said, "My mom always supported me. I miss her a lot. I live here alone without my parents. There are these two people who have been so strong and they have been such an inspiration for me which always keeps me going. They never stopped me from doing anything. When I told my mom that I am joining the Miss Sri Lanka contest, she said 'Okay, cool' and when I said, 'Mom, I am moving to India', then also she was like 'Okay'."
Jacqueline's mother, Kim, was of Malaysian and Canadian descent, while her father, Elroy Fernandez, is from Sri Lanka. Kim worked as an air hostess in Bahrain, where she met Elroy in the 1980s.
