Actress Sophie Choudry recently took to social media to share a bad experience that she faced on the roads of Mumbai. A Swiggy delivery boy hit her car and ran away. The 43-year-old actress slammed the food delivery company on X.
She posted, "Hey @Swiggy @SwiggyCares one of your riders has hit my car badly and run away at 1.15pm right here on my road in khar west . It’s completely his fault and it’s absolutely disgusting that he just ran off!! I’m a regular Swiggy customer but is this what your guys do on the road??!!"
The app replied to her and wrote that they sincerely regret the incident and understand how distressing it must have been for her. They further wrote, "Safety and accountability are of utmost importance to us." Swiggy told the actress to DM her as they wanted a few details from her.
Replying to them, Sophie posted, "Safety and Accountability should be of utmost importance. I have messaged you in DM. Awaiting a reply and expect you to resolve this situation."
Well, after this the actress has not shared any update about the situation.
Netizens took Sophie's side, and an X user wrote, "We understand that delivery partners face immense pressure—late deliveries can mean penalties or earnings loss—but that doesn’t justify reckless behavior on the road. Please address this ASAP."
While sharing his experience, another netizen wrote, "They don’t care Soph! I have gone through the same with them in the past. Do you have the bikers photo or something of the bike or something?"
On the work front, Sophie was last seen on the big screens in Love Sex Aur Dhokha 2 in which she had a cameo. The actress played the role of one of the judges in a reality show. Last year, she featured in a song titled Lips which was also sung by her.
