Actress Rakhi Sawant, who appeared in a couple of episodes of India's Got Latent, has been summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Cell in the ongoing India's Got Latent case. Along with her, YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani, who were a part of the controversial episode of the show that kicked off the storm, have also been asked to record their statements.
Yashasvi Yadav, IG, Maharashtra Cyber Cell, informed ANI that a summons has been sent to Rakhi and she has been asked to appear before the officials on February 27 to record her statement. It is not known yet if the actress, who has shifted base to Dubai, will fly down to Mumbai to record her statement.
Ashish Chanchlani and Ranveer Allahbadia have been summoned by the cyber cell on February 24 to record their statements. While the former has been staying lowkey ever since the controversy, the latter has gone MIA with his phone switched off and house locked.

Comedian and the showrunner of India's Got Latent, Samay Raina, was also summoned by the cyber cell, but he sought time till March 17 and requested them to record his statement virtually as he is currently touring across Canada and US for his shows. His request was, however, rejected.
What is the India's Got Latent row?
The entire fiasco erupted when Ranveer appeared on India's Got Latent as a guest, and during a segment, asked a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?"
The supposed joke was not received well by netizens, who then bashed Ranveer, Samay and the others related to the show, and demanded strict action against them for "promoting vulgarity and obscenity online". Ashish and Apoorva Mukhija were the other guests in the episode.
Multiple complaints and FIRs were then filed against Samay, Ranveer and others, and the Maharashtra cyber cell stated that around 30-40 people involved in the first six episode of India's Got Latent will be summoned.
Meanwhile, Ranveer issued an apology, stating that there was a serious "lapse in his judgement" while he made the statement. On the other hand, Samay deleted all episodes of India's Got Latent from his YouTube channel.
