Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber welcomed their first child, a baby boy whom they named Jack Blues, last year, and the supermodel has now revealed how childbirth was a near-death experience for her. She recalled how her amniotic fluid leaked way before her due date and how she kept bleeding after giving birth to her son.
Hailey told Vogue Italia that after her amniotic fluid leaked before time, she was rushed to the doctor, who decided to induce labour using oxytocin. She also shared that the doctors used "a Foley balloon, a catheter-like device inserted into the uterus and inflated with a saline solution to dilate the cervix."
"It was the most painful thing I've ever endured. Then Jack arrived in all his eight-pound glory," she recalled.
However, it did not end there, but the real scare actually began post childbirth. Hailey shared how she started bleeding excessively, and the doctors explained that it happened to every 1 out of 5 women. "I had complete faith in my doctor, so I was at peace, knowing he would never let anything bad happen to me. But I was bleeding a lot, and people die, and that’s a thought that crosses your mind," she admitted.
Recalling Justin's reaction, she added, "Suddenly, your partner sees you as a goddess, a superhero."
Justin and Hailey welcomed their first child on August 23, 2024. The couple tied the knot in September 2018 in a secret New York City courthouse wedding, months after their July 2018 engagement.
