Param Singh has been a part of multiple TV shows like Sadda Haq, Ghulaam, Mariam Khan Reporting Live, Haiwaan, and Ishk Par Zor Nahi. But, after Ishk Par Zor Nahi in 2021, Param took a break from TV and now, after nearly four years, the actor has made a comeback on TV with the show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin in which he plays the role of Dr. Neil.

What made you think that Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin will be a perfect comeback for you on TV?
I don’t know if it’s a perfect comeback or not because my way to go about any project is purely instinct or intuition. A good character arch , production and nice concept were mainly instrumental for me to sign up for the show.
When the first episode of this new cast premiered, on social media people were going gaga over your look and character, especially female fans. They started posting that they want someone like you in their life. So, how does that feel to get so much love with just one episode?
I wasn’t aware that people are liking my character and the look until now. I am extremely grateful for the love that’s coming through. I really feel blessed to know that my performance is making people want someone like Neil as their partner.
Was there a nervousness or fear of comparison with the show's previous male leads, Neil Bhatt, Shakti Arora, and Hitesh Bharadwaj?
No, there was absolutely no sense of nervousness or comparison because we all are very different and hence our core strengths towards any character as well. Personally, I feel every name involved has brought their own unique legacy to the project and I believe it’s best to appreciate the show as a whole rather than focusing on individual comparisons. I also believe one shouldn’t compare in life in general too.
How does it feel to be back on a TV set after nearly four years?
It feels good to be shooting every single day. The love that’s coming in just feels great & makes me happy on the inside. Working in television feels like a homecoming for everything it has given me so far & for the way it has shaped my graph. I am grateful for having received this opportunity.
What made you take a break from television?
The urge to explore different mediums, furnish my skills & genres made me take a conscious break. During the lockdown, when I watched a lot of content on OTT around realistic storylines, excerpts from books or autobiographies or episodic tales, I had a prominent thought to work in a direction where my work is remembered & for good. With the mediums being different , I also felt that it’s time to adapt to new techniques & at the same time engage with the process of learning and unlearning stuff. It was all about breaking the monotony around my roles.
What are the similarities and differences that you feel Param Singh has with Dr. Neil?
I feel our calm nature, honesty, loyal nature and passion towards our craft are some similarities we share.

I'm thrilled that people are loving the camaraderie between Neil, Ruturaj, and Tejaswini! It's wonderful to see the audience connect with our characters, and the outpouring of love we've received is truly a blessing. It means the world.
