Actor Ananya Panday's cousin Ahaan Panday, who grabbed eyeballs during his sister Alanna Panday's wedding, is all set to make his Bollywood debut soon. In her latest vlog, Alanna, along with their mother Deanne Panday, revealed how Ahaan was born prematurely and the complications that the latter faced while giving birth to him.
Alanna, who welcomed a baby boy in July 2024, shared in her vlog how she gets anxious every time she hears the story of Ahaan's birth. Deanne then took over and revealed, "Around 42 days before my due date, my water bags started leaking a little bit. And then it happened again, so we woke up dadi, and she called up a doctor, who said, ‘Take her to the hospital right now’."
She went on to say, "They did a sonography, all the water had come out by then, and Ahaan was in one corner, curled up. They took me for emergency C-section, and when they got Ahaan out, he was as small as a rat. They took him away, and I passed out."

Deanne shared that when she regained consciousness, Ahaan had already been moved to another hospital to avail NICU facilities. "Mom missed a part. Ahaan was transported in a cooler. A thermocol box! This was back in the day, like 25 years ago. It’s such a filmy story," Alanna added.
Deanne then shared how she too later moved to Nanavati Hospital where baby Ahaan was kept in the NICU. "They were keeping me away from my child, and I went down in a wheelchair, a lot of pain, and they took me to the room... There was a little stick on his tiny leg, because he had suffered a hairline fracture. This is what Ahaan has been through. I spent 10 days in hospital feeding him," she mentioned.

Alanna lightened the mood by adding that despite having a regular birth, she was not the "tiny one", while her younger brother Ahaan is 6 feet 3 inches tall.
Meanwhile, Ahaan is all set to make his Bollywood debut with the film, Saiyaara. The film also stars debutant Aneet Padda alongside him and it is being helmed by Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain fame, Mohit Suri.
