Actress Hansika Motwani, along with her brother Prashant Motwani, faced legal issues after Prashant's estranged wife, TV actress Muskan Nancy James, accused him of domestic violence and filed an FIR against him, their mother Mona Motwani, and Hansika at Amboli Police Station on December 18, 2024, under sections 498-A, 323, 504, 506, and 34 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
On Tuesday, Hansika shared a cryptic message on her Instagram broadcast channel amid her sister-in-law's allegations: "I'm getting a lil too old for the fall outs & being back cool things. I'm good, love."
She added the hashtag "#word!" and concluded with, "Just mute people," accompanied by laughing emojis.

Regarding filing the FIR, Muskan confirmed to ETimes that an FIR had been registered against Prashant and his family, adding, "I have sought legal assistance now. At this point, I am not at liberty to comment further."
In her FIR, Muskan shared that due to domestic violence, she developed Bell’s Palsy. This condition causes temporary weakness or paralysis of the muscles on one side of the face.
Muskan alleged that Hansika and her mother-in-law Jyoti Motwani, and Hansika interfered in her marital life and demanded expensive gifts, money. She also accused them of fraudulent actions involving property.
