A man was arrested in Gujarat on Monday after he vandalised a theatre in Bharuch during the screening of Vicky Kaushal's latest film, Chhaava. A video of the incident has now gone viral in which the accused can be seen tearing the theatre screen apart with his bare hands.
The incident reportedly took place on Sunday night when the last show of the day was being screened at RK Cinemas. The accused, identified as Jayesh Vasava, was reportedly drunk while he was watching the movie in the theatre. He reportedly got riled up when the scene showing Aurangzeb rebuking and torturing Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj came up on the screen, and in a fit of rage, he damaged the screen.
He reportedly climbed up the podium in his inebriated state, damaged the silver screen with a fire extinguisher and then tore it with his bare hands. His act caused a commotion inside the theatre and he was then dragged out by local security and multiplex staff.
Vasava also abused a female staff member when she tried to stop him from vandalising the theatre.

The general manager of the theatre rued that the incident has resulted into a loss of around Rs 1.5 lakh for them, and that several shows scheduled for Monday had to be cancelled and rescheduled because of Vasava's act.
Chhaava has emerged to be a hit at the box office as the film has earned Rs 140 crore within just four days of its release. In the film, Vicky Kaushal essays the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, while Rashmika Mandanna plays his wife, Yesubai Bhosale. The role of Mughal Emperor Aurangzab has been essayed by Akshaye Khanna.

Another video from one of the screenings of Chhaava has gone viral on the internet in which a fan can be seen riding a horse right inside a theatre in Nagpur, dressed up as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. He even raised slogans of 'Har Har Mahadev' and 'Jai Bhavani', and got people playing dhol along with him.
