A late-night chaos unfolded on the streets of Basti as popular Bhojpuri actress Anjana Singh lost her temper outside a local hotel after discovering that no room had been booked for her. A video of the incident, which occurred outside Hotel Maharaj on Malviya Road in the Sadar Kotwali area, has surfaced on social media platforms.
According to media reports, Anjana was in Basti for the shoot of her upcoming film and her accommodation arrangements were to be handled by the production team under filmmaker Rajnish Mishra. However, things took an ugly turn when the actress arrived at the hotel late at night and was informed by the staff that no reservation existed in her name.
Chaos on Malviya Road
In a now-viral video, Anjana looked visibly agitated as she argued with the members of the production team and confronted them over what she called a serious lapse in professionalism. The confrontation, which began inside the hotel, soon escalated into a heated exchange on the street.
The shocking video was shot by bystanders and it has now gone viral on social media. In the clip, she is seen abusing Anurag and lashing out at him for allegedly assaulting her staff members.
"G***d mein dum tha toh booking karna tha. Kyu aa jaate ho film banane? Tunme hotel book kiya toh hume hotel room mila kyu nahi?" Anjana is heard screaming on the streets.
Anjana Singh breaks silence
A couple of days after the incident took place, the actress revealed in an interview that she had told the production team to book a new hotel first, after which she would shift her belongings and head to the shooting set. However, she was not informed about any new hotel booking. The actress said she continued shooting the entire day, with all her belongings kept in the vehicle. Later, after the shoot wrapped up, her staff asked around 12:30 am, "Is the hotel booked?" To this, production manager Anurag Mishra replied, "Yes, it’s booked."
Anjana further stated that when they reached the hotel, a staff member refused to hand over the room key. He said the payment hadn’t been made, so they wouldn’t give the key. Following this, her staff called Anurag Mishra, but didn’t receive a proper response. Anurag then argued with the hotel staff over the phone, but the employee firmly said, "I won’t give you the room. Please leave the premises."
According to reports, Anjana said, "An artist shoots all day and barely gets four hours to rest. Should they be humiliated like this and left sitting on the street?"
She explained that she had to leave for Patna the next morning, but instead had to face such treatment. Addressing the viral video, Anjana clarified, "The person seen in the video claiming to be the producer is not the real producer. The actual producer is Rajnish Mishra."

She further alleged, "Anurag arrived at the location around 1 am and physically assaulted my staff. My staff is like my family. When he raised his hand on them, I questioned him and that exact moment was captured and shared on social media out of context."
The actress added that she refrained from filing a police complaint at the request of producer Rajnish Mishra. "My staff is my family, and if anyone lays a hand on my family, I won’t sit quietly," she asserted.
Anjana added that after this, she told her driver to take her to Gorakhpur so she could stay somewhere else. However, the driver refused, saying the production team had instructed him not to go.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anjana made her acting debut in 2012 with the Bhojpuri film Ek Aur Faulad. She has also been a part of films like Lawarish, Raja Ji I Love You, Truck Driver, Dildar Sawariya, Khoon Bhari Hamaar Maang, Garda, Ladaai, Doodh Ka Karz, Khiladi, Kasam Paida Karne Wale Ki 2, Munna Mawali, Jigar, Gundey and more.
