On Sunday evening, comedian Kunal Kamra made it to the headlines for a wrong reason. He shared a video on social media in which he is taking a dig at a minister by calling him 'Gaddar'. The video quickly went viral, and Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena workers vandalised to The Habitat in Khar, Mumbai, and later went to Khar police station to file and FIR against him. Well, netizens are quite upset with what has happened.

A netizen posted on X, "Please give me one reason why a well-educated person would want to live in this country." Another X user wrote, "First, they vandalized the venue where Kunal Kamra performed. Then, they went to the police station to file an FIR against him. This is the 'New India' Feku Ji has built over the last 11 years—where criminals file FIRs against victims & the police merely watch."

One more netizen posted, "#Thehabitat was cracked down by local workers of Shiv Sena over some comic done by #Kunalkamra at the Habitat. Freedom of speech gone for a toss. #standupcomedy #india."

After the whole controversy of The Habitat being vandalised and Shinde's Shiv Sena workers demanding an FIR against him, Kunal took to social media to react to it. He shared a post in which he is holding the 'Constitution of India' and captioned it as, "The only way forward…"

The video of Kunal that went viral was from one of his latest shows. He made a song on the tunes of Dil To Pagal Hai's track Bholi Si Surat, and called a minister 'Gaddar'. He mentioned that the minister is from Thane, drives rickshaw, has beard and wears specs. Kunal himself shared the video on social media on Sunday, and captioned it as, "Maharashtra."

Meanwhile, The Habitat, where Kunal performed and even the episodes of India's Got Latent were filmed, has decided to shut down temporarily.
