Mumbai: A theft incident occurred at the residence of actress and Bigg Boss contestant Kashish Kapoor, 24. She filed a complaint against her domestic help, Sachin Kumar Chaudhary, for allegedly stealing Rs 4 lakh from her cupboard. Following this, the Amboli police registered an FIR against Chaudhary under Section 306 (theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of master) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on July 9.
About The Case
According to the FIR, the actress is originally from Purnia, Bihar, and currently lives in New Ambivali Society, Veera Desai Road, Azadnagar, Andheri West. She is a film actress, has acted in several television shows, and was a contestant on Bigg Boss. Sachin Kumar Chaudhary had been working as her housekeeper for the past five months. Every day, he would come to work at 11:30 am, finish all the chores, and leave at 1 pm.
She had kept some cash in a drawer in her cupboard. On July 6, when she checked, it contained Rs 7 lakh. On July 9, she wanted to send some money to her mother in her hometown, so she went to withdraw cash from the drawer. She found only Rs 2.5 lakh in it. The remaining Rs 4.5 lakh was missing. She checked the entire cupboard but could not find the money anywhere.
When she confronted Sachin Kumar, who was at work at the time, he appeared very scared. She tried to check his pockets, but he refused to allow it. After that, he took out Rs 50,000, threw it inside her house, and fled.
When she realised that Sachin Kumar had stolen the money, she filed a complaint against him with the Amboli police. Following her complaint, the police registered a case of theft against him and have launched a search to trace him.
