Ahead of the release of the much-hyped film Kannappa, the makers have issued a stern notice in public interest, threatening to take legal action against those who try to troll and malign the film without any reason. They also critics as well as the audience to first watch the film and then pass judgement.
Kannappa tells the story of a devout follower of Lord Shiva. While Vishnu Manchu plays the lead role, it also stars Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Prabhas, Mohanlal and others in key roles.
The makers of Kannappa issued an official statement which began as: "Our film Kannappa releases globally on June 27, 2025 with full lawful clearances. Misuse, distortion, or defamatory acts against the film or its stakeholders will be legally challenged."

"The film has been created responsibly to engage with the public at large and we thereby respectfully request all critiques to watch the film first, appreciate its substance, understand the intent and then comment on it with responsibility, rather than succumbing to premeditated biases or vendetta-fuelled commentary," it stated.
The notice further read that though the makers respect freedom of speech, they have the right to question deliberate attack and take legal action against it.
Kannappa is all set to hit the silver screens on June 27. The film will see Akshay play the role of Lord Shiva, while Kajal will play Goddess Parvati. Mohanlal wil play Kirata and Prabhas will essay the role of Rudra.
