Days after radical Sikh leader Amritpal Singh Mehron claimed responsibility for the murder of Punjabi social media influencer Kamal Kaur, aka, Kanchan Kumari, Bollywood singer Mika Singh lashed out at him and dared him to find the "real criminals" in Punjab instead of killing women.
In a video which is now going viral, Mika can be seen taking a sarcastic dig at Mehron, saying, "An influencer has been murdered. Amazing! What a proud moment. My name is Mika Singh, I belong to a Sikh family, and I am so proud that two Sikhs killed the woman. Very good! Until now, Sikhs were known for helping people, for always being the first ones to stand by those in need, but this is something very different! Congratulations Amritpal Singh Mehron to you and your men."
He further continued, "Are you so free to see who is dancing, who is wearing short clothes, to go and kill them? If you are so courageous, then there are so many other problems in the world, go and handle those. Is this the only job left in the world for you? To find a woman who wears short clothes and kill her?"
Mika accused Mehron of tarnishing the Sikh community's name across the globe. "The Sikh community is that community that has been feeding people for free in langars since forever. We were the first ones to step out and help during COVID-19 outbreak. There are so many real criminals in Punjab, go and hunt them down. But no, you be busy killing women for no reason, and making the community proud," he stated.
"On one hand, there are people like Bhagat Singh who laid his life for the country, and on the other hand, there are people like you who think it's a courageous act to kill a woman," the singer added.
Mika went on to say, "There are worse people holed up in Punjab. Go show your strength to them. If you don't like something, you can go file a police complaint or fight with the person and give them a warning, but no, you directly want to kill them."

The singer then asked the Punjab government and police to take strict action against Mehron and the other perpetrators and extended his support as well. "I request the Punjab government to find the truth and punish the killers. I support Harjeet Singh Rasulpur and I am ready to help him in every possible way. I stand by the truth," he concluded.
While the cops have launched a manhunt for Mehron in the Kamal Kaur murder case, he has reportedly fled to the UAE. He is also accused of threatening two other Punjab-based female social media influencers.
