Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta, who made headlines on Tuesday after she broke down in a video and claimed that she was being constantly harassed, hit back at netizens on Wednesday who stated that she only wanted to be in the limelight. When a user took a dig at her for saying she would visit the police station to lodge a complaint in a couple of days, the actress responded by calling the Mumbai Police "corrupt".
In the video shared on Tuesday, Tanushree was heard saying that she called the cops after being harassed at her own house in Mumbai, and they visited too, but they asked her to visit a police station and lodge an official complaint. "I will do that tomorrow or day after, I am not keeping well," she said in the video. A user then questioned that if she was so fed up of the alleged harassment then why was she delaying a formal police complaint.
To that, the actress replied, "You don't make any logical sense. Lying on my bed and operating my phone vs wasting another 4 hours at police station only to be told after 7 months of fake investigation by corrupt Mumbai police that case is closed. What's more energy consuming?"
She went on to say, "Social media zyada accha justice deti hai. I'm doing good karma by not wasting my time. Already pareshan insaan hai, aur police kuch karti bhi nahi 99% time. Social media and media hi thodi honest, compassionate and conscious hai. Baki toh sab Iman aur dharm bech chuke hai. Khair jaoongi agar mood hua toh. Ab sabko pata toh chal gaya ki mere saath kya ho raha hai. Ab mujhe kuch hua to bhaiyyo and behno aapko pata hai ki kiska ghar jalana hai. Bas wohi purpose hai mera, to spread awareness, not to waste my time (sic)."
"But I'll go to chowki, Chai paani ke liye. They always treat me so well but justice kabhi nahi dete. I'll go chill with the police and come back. Shravan hai, fast break karoongi at the police station. Har Har Mahadev (sic)," she concluded sarcastically.
When another user commented that she was sharing the videos and making harassment claims for publicity, Tanushree replied, "Really? Checked ur profile. Aaj hi banaya insta account to post this comment (sic)."

On Tuesday, Tanushree shared a video on her Instagram handle in which she was seen crying inconsolably and pleading people to help her. "I am being harassed in my own home. Mujhe mere he ghar mein pareshaan kiya ja raha hai," she said.
She went on to say that it has been happening since her #MeToo accusations in 2018, when she accused actor Nana Patekar of sexually harassing her on the sets of their 2009 film, Horn Ok Pleasss.
She also claimed in the video that maids were planted in her house by some people, and they troubled her by stealing from her. Not just that, but she shared another video of loud noises coming from outside her door, and stated that it was done to trouble her.
