Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi and music composer-singer Himesh Reshammiya, have reunited after nearly two decades for the upcoming film Gunmaaster G9. Fans of the duo are elated to know about their comeback as their paring ruled the 2000s with their iconic music.
Soon after the makers shared the announcement on social media, fans couldn't contain their excitement. A fan commented under Emraan's Instagram post, "Emraan Hashmi... Himesh Reshammiya... Aditya Dutt...khunkhaar trio."
Another wrote, "Bohot time k baad Emraan and Himesh honge ek saath...congratulations."
About Gunmaaster G9
Directed by Aditya Datt, Gunmaaster G9 is a high-octane family action drama backed by producers Deepak Mukut and Hunar Mukut under the Soham Rockstar Entertainment banner. The film stars Emraan in a never-seen-before action avatar, along with Genelia D'Souza, Aparshakti Khurana, and Abhishek Singh in key roles.
The story promises emotionally charged storytelling paired with stylised visuals. The principal photography of the film will begin post-monsoon in Mumbai, followed by a shooting schedule in Uttarakhand. The film is slated for a 2026 release.
Director Aditya Datt, known for Table No. 21, the Commando franchise, and the OTT series Bad Cop, described the project as a significant milestone in his career. "When we made Aashiq Banaya Aapne, we were young, hungry, and experimental. With Gunmaaster G9, we’re still all of those things, but sharper and more evolved. It’s a full-circle moment for me.
