Veteran actress and parliamentarian, Jaya Bachchan attended the prayer meet of late director Rano Mukherjee in Mumbai on Tuesday (June 3) along with her daughter Shweta Bachchan. Rano Mukherjee had passed away on May 28 due to cardiac arrest. However, a viral video shows Jaya losing her calm and snapping at the paparazzi who were following her for photos and videos after the prayer meet.
Jaya, who was on a phone call, ended the call and walked up to the paparazzi, confronting them with irritation. She said, 'Chaliye… aap log bhi aaiye saath mein… aa jaiye. Bakwaas sab," expressing her displeasure. Later, her daughter, Shweta, then assisted her in getting into the car, while she lashed out at another photographer, saying, "Aao… aap gaadi mein aa jao."

Several users defended Jaya for lashing out at the paps. A user commented, "Bit she is right, funeral prayer is no place to click photo. And see comes from a generation who take this thing seriously. Even my mother would have reacted the same,so why is she wrong?"
Another commented, "She has so much attitude." While another user said, "What an attitude, that too after a prayer meet!!!" "Yeah itna naraz kyun hoti hai, Aakhir woh log bhi toh apna kaam kar rahe hai," read another comment.
However, this is not the first time Jaya has lashed out at the paps for clicking her.
Earlier, in one of the previous episodes of the What The Hell Navya podcast, Jaya Bachchan spoke about the paparazzi culture, saying that she hates it and despises people who interfere in one's personal life and earn their living by ‘selling’ such content.
"I hate it, I'm disgusted with such people. I always tell them, I say, ‘Aapko sharam nahi aati hai?' I feel very strongly and it’s not that it’s today, I felt it from day one. I don’t mind if you talk about my work. You say, ‘She’s a bad actor and she has done this film badly, she’s not looking nice’ because it’s visual media, don’t mind. But the rest I do mind," Jaya shared.
On the work front, Jaya was last seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
