Sasural Simar Ka actress Dipika Kakar, who made her comeback on television with Celebrity MasterChef India, has quit the cooking show due to health concerns. While Dipika has not yet confirmed the news, veteran actress Usha Nadkarni and a fellow contestant have confirmed her exit.
According to a report on India Forums, Bigg Boss 16 contestant Shiv Thakare is set to replace Dipika and enter as a wild card entry, though official confirmation is still pending.
Earlier, confirming Dipika's exit, Usha told Aaj Tak's Saas Bahu Aur Betiyaan, she said, "Dipika ki tabiyat barabar nahi, uska kuch haath ka problem hai. Toh woh barabar nahi kar sakti isliye usne chhodh diya hai.
She added, "Ek baar gayi thi woh, doctor ke paas jaane ke baad sab thik hogaya karke aayi, par fir uska chalu hogaya. Toh woh boli nahi aaungi. Usne woh socha aur boli main nikalti ho aur woh nikal gayi. Ek dusre ke saath sabki bonding achchi hai, matlab ek family hogayi hai."
A few days ago, Dipika revealed that she injured her left hand, as a past injury was triggered due to excessive physical activity. Her husband, actor Shoaib Ibrahim shared a health update on her YouTube channel, stating they revisited the doctor after Dipika returned home crying due to the pain. Kakar, who was seen wearing an arm sling, shared, "When I inhale, the pain is extreme, and that is the reason my condition was bad that day."
Further, Shoaib said, Sharing her health update, Shoaib revealed, "We did the MRI and CT scan, and the doctor told us that Dipika must have had some injury in the past and that has been triggered due to too much physical activity. The doctor hasn't told her to keep her hand still, and she can't work, but instead, the doctor has said that she can work, but she has to keep her hand still as much as possible."
