In a surprise move that has surprised both K-hiphop and K-pop fandom, a powerful musical duo is making a comeback. In the early hours of April 25, Epik High's Tablo revealed that he has reunited with BTS frontman Kim Namjoon, aka RM, for a brand-new track titled "Stop The Rain". Set to drop on May 2 at 1 PM KST (9:30 AM IST), the song is now up for presale.
The announcement came via Tablo's social media, where he posted a mysterious teaser video, leaving fans intrigued. In the teaser, two symbolic playing cards appeared, one illustrating a falling angel, the other a woman shielded by an umbrella, hinting at the lyrical depth and emotional weight of what's to come.
While the collaboration is new to the public, it turns out "Stop The Rain" has been in the making for two years. According to Tablo's agency, Ours Co., the track blends his signature poetic lyricism with RM's resonant and deep vocals. Even as RM continues to fulfil his mandatory military service, set to conclude in June, his presence in the music world remains unshaken.
BTS and Epic High moment
"Stop The Rain" isn't the first time RM and Tablo have collaborated. Fans may remember their earlier work together on “All Day,” a highlight from RM's debut solo album, Indigo. Their creative chemistry was clear in that collaboration, and this new single promises to build on that dynamic.

This connection is more than just musical; it’s mutual admiration. RM, a long-time fan of Epik High, has often expressed how their music shaped his early artistry. And he's not the only BTS member to feel that way. SUGA, too, has cited Epik High's groundbreaking track "Fly" as one of the first songs that inspired his journey into music.
In 2019, this admiration came full circle when SUGA produced "Eternal Sunshine" for Epik High’s album, marking a significant moment between the song's musical giants.
