The buzz around Bigg Boss 19 has already begun, and this time, the makers are reportedly planning a major shift in the format. Reportedly, the upcoming season will exclusively feature popular faces from the television and Bollywood industry, with no participation from social media influencers or YouTubers. Yes, you read that right.
According to Telly Reporter, unlike previous seasons, this time, the makers have decided not to approach YouTubers for the reality show.
In previous seasons, digital content creators carved a strong niche for themselves inside the Bigg Boss house. Influencers like Elvish Yadav, Abhishek Malhan (Fukra Insaan), Rajat Dalal and Manisha Rani among others not only made a mark with their personalities and gameplay but also saw a massive surge in their popularity post the show.
The decision of the makers to go back to more established names from the entertainment world is reportedly aimed at giving the show a more traditional celebrity-driven appeal.
While the official contestant list is yet to be revealed, insiders claim that the makers have already started approaching well-known actors and personalities from the TV and film fraternity to join the house this season. If all goes as planned, Bigg Boss 19 is expected to premiere on July 19, 2025.
So far, there has been no official confirmation from the channel or the production house regarding the format or premiere date. However, fans are already speculating about which stars might enter the house.
A few days back, Gossips TV had reported that Bigg Boss 19 will air for around six months. The show will start by the end of July and will air until January 2026. Also, Bigg Boss OTT has reportedly been cancelled this year. The show will be hosted by Salman Khan.
