Popular comedian and television host Bharti Singh revealed in her recent vlog that she burned her son Golla's Labubu doll, suspecting it was bringing negative energy into their home. The decision came after Bharti noticed unusual changes in her three-year-old son's behaviour and linked them to the arrival of the now-viral toy.
In the video shared on her YouTube channel, Bharti explained that her husband, writer and TV host Haarsh Limbachiyaa, had bought the Labubu doll for their son. However, shortly after bringing the toy home, Bharti observed that Golla began acting strangely.
"Jab se yeh aaya hai, Golla bahot shararati hogaya hai," Bharti said, adding that her son had started screaming, throwing things, and refusing to listen. Initially, the comedian admitted she laughed off the coincidence. But as the erratic behaviour continued and family members began to speculate, suspicions around the toy grew.
The Labubu dolls, which recently gained popularity on social media for their quirky, big-eyed appearance, have also sparked unease among some parents online due to their unusual design. Whispers of the dolls carrying "negative energy" or being associated with demonic forces have circulated across platforms.
Bharti, who is known for her candidness, addressed these concerns in her vlog. "Maybe I overreacted. Maybe I wasted money. But I couldn't take any more chances. Everyone kept telling me it looked creepy. Even when I used to hang it on my bag, strangers would stop and ask what it was," she said.
Her family, she added, even jokingly referred to the doll as "the devil’s form." Ultimately, Bharti decided to burn the doll.
Bharti frequently shares moments from her personal life through vlogs on YouTube, where she has a large fan following.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Bharti was last seen as the host of the second season of Laughter Chefs – Unlimited Entertainment.
