Actress Athiya Shetty and Team India cricketer KL Rahul welcomed their first child, a baby girl, on Monday (March 24). The couple announced the arrival of their little one on social media; however, they've neither revealed the name of their daughter nor shared any pictures yet. Now, a photo of Athiya and Rahul with a baby has surfaced on social media but it is an AI-generated picture.
The photo was shared by several social media users with claims that the new parents are posing with their baby. It shows the baby in Athiya's arms and gives an impression of an authentic post-birth moment.
However, a closer look reveals that the image is fake. In the comments section, a section of users also pointed out that the picture is AI-generated.
Athiya and Rahul have not posted any picture of their baby officially and it is not known if they will reveal their baby's face anytime soon.
On Monday, Athiya and Rahul shared a joint post on Instagram which read, "Blessed with a baby girl... 24.03.2025 (sic)."
Congratulatory messages flooded in for the couple as soon as they shared the news. Among the first to send their wishes and love were Kiara Advani, Aditi Rao Hydari, Ileana D'Cruz, Arjun Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Mrunal Thakur, Vikrant Massey, Kriti Sanon, Rakul Preet Singh and others.
Athiya and KL Rahul tied the knot in January 2023, at the actress' father Suniel Shetty's farmhouse in Khandala in an intimate ceremony. The wedding was attended by family and close friends. Reportedly, the duo met in a through a common friend and started dating.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Athiya made her acting debut in 2015 with the film Hero opposite Sooraj Pancholi. Later, she was seen in films like Mubarakan and Motichoor Chaknachoor.
Rahul, meanwhile, recently played a crucial role in Team India's Champions Trophy victory against New Zealand. After missing his team's first IPL match on Monday, he is expected to return to the field soon.
