In light of the escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following Operation Sindoor, playback singer Arijit Singh has announced the postponement of his much-anticipated Abu Dhabi concert. The LIVE performance was originally scheduled to take place on May 9, 2025, at the Etihad Arena, Yas Island.
The announcement was made by the singer through a statement shared on his official Instagram account on Thursday (May 8), a day after India launched Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
In his note to fans, Arijit Singh wrote, "Dear fans, due to recent events, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Arijit Singh live concert in Abu Dhabi, originally scheduled for 9 May 2025, at Etihad Arena, Yas Island. We deeply appreciate your patience, support and understanding during this time."

Arijit's team also stated that the tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date and ticket-holders who don't wish to attend the concert can opt for refund.
"We are working closely with the venue and the new date will be announced soon. All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date, or you may opt for a full refund within 7 days, starting 12 May 2025 (Monday). Thank you for your continued love and support, we look forward to creating unforgettable memories with you soon," the statement further read.
Arijit's concerts abroad, particularly in the UAE, often see packed audiences with a large turnout from the Indian diaspora.
A revised date for the concert is expected to be announced by the organisers in the coming weeks.
Last month, in a mark of respect and solidarity following the horrific terror attack in Pahalgam, Arijit had cancelled his concert in Chennai. The show, which was scheduled for April 27, was called off in light of the national tragedy that claimed 26 innocent lives, including tourists and a brave local horse-rider.
