The first song from Metro...In Dino, titled Zamaana Lage, was unveiled by the makers at a grand event in Mumbai on Wednesday, and while at it, the one actor whom the team of the film missed the most was the late Irrfan Khan. In fact, director Anurag Basu recalled how Konkona Sen Sharma cried during the shoot of the film, remembering her Life In A Metro co-star.
For those unversed, Konkona was paired opposite Irrfan Khan in the 2007 film, Life In A Metro, which is a spiritual predecessor of Metro...In Dino. At the event, the actress shared, "There were so many moments when I missed him during the shoot of the film. Zamaane lagenge unko bhulaane mein... It happened many times, but I don't want to say what and when, because when you watch the film, I think you'll know when. Today, we'll celebrate."
Basu further continued, "There were many moments during the shoot when we missed him. There was a scene we were shooting with Konkona, and right in the middle of the scene, she exchanged a look with me and she started crying...Let's not go there."

"We miss Irrfan. We also miss KK very much. There were a lot of people whom we missed while shooting; the cameraman, my art director Rajat Poddar... There are so many who are not there in this room, sitting with us," he added.
Metro...In Dino is all set to release in theatres on July 4, 2025. The film features a slew of actors including Konkona, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, among others.
