Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is currently on a property investment spree, has now purchased his fourth plot in Ayodhya, the pious land of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The actor reportedly bought the property for a whopping Rs 40 crore.
As per reports, the sprawling plot is spread across an area of 25,000 square feet, and is quite close to the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. The land is in the vicinity of the uber-luxurious real estate project Sarayu, where Big B had invested in the past as well.
For those unversed, Big B had earlier invested Rs 14.50 crore in the Sarayu project. Days before the inauguration of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, the actor purchased a 5,372 square feet piece of land for a staggering Rs 4.54 crore.
"This is a start of a heartfelt journey into the soul of Ayodhya, where tradition and modernity seamlessly co-exist, creating an emotional tapestry that resonates with me deeply. I am looking forward to building my home in the global spiritual capital," he had said.
The 82-year-old recently also acquired a 54,000 square feet plot in Ayodhya, which was registered under his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s trust. If reports are to be believed, Big B is planning to build a memorial for his late father on the same land.
The city of Ayodhya is well-connected to the surrounding bustling cities, including Prayagraj (earlier, Allahabad), which is Big B's birthplace.

On the work front, Big B will be next seen in Section 84, co-starring Nimrat Kaur, Diana Penty, Abhishek Banerjee, and others in key roles. Besides, he also has the second installments of both Brahmastra and Kalki 2898 AD in the pipeline.
