Allu Arjun Says He Has No 'Direct' Connection With Stampede Case: 'Was Inside Theatre Watching Movie With Family' (VIDEO)

Allu Arjun, who returned home on Saturday after being arrested in connection with the stampede at Pushpa 2's premiere at Sandhya Theatre, held a press meeting. Addressing the media, he clarified that he had no "direct" connection to the incident. He stated, "I was inside the theatre watching a movie with my family, and the accident happened outside. It was purely accidental and unintentional."

Telugu star Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday, December 13, in connection with the tragic stampede that occurred at the premiere of his recently released movie Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre, which resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi. He returned home on Saturday morning after spending a night in Chanchalguda Jail, having been granted interim bail.

Allu Arjun held a press meeting on Saturday outside his residence, where he addressed the media and clarified that he had no 'direct' connection to the stampede case. He said, "We are extremely sorry for the family. I will personally be there to help them in whatever way possible. I was inside the theatre watching a movie with my family and the accident happened outside. It has no direct connection with me. It was purely accidental and unintentional.

"I have been going to the same theatre for the last 20 years, and I have been to the same place more than 30 times. There has never been an accident like this before. I should reserve my comments because I don’t want to say anything that will tamper the case," he added.

After Allu Arjun returned home, several celebrities rushed to his residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, to offer their support including actor Vijay Deverakonda, Naga Chaitanya, Rana Dagubatti, producer Dil Raju, and director Koratala Siva, among others.

Earlier today, Allu Arjun expressed his gratitude towards his fans and well-wishers. Speaking to the media, Allu Arjun said, "I thank everyone for the love and support. I want to thank all my fans. There is nothing to worry about. I am fine. I am a law-abiding citizen and will cooperate. I would like to once again express my condolences to the family. It was an unfortunate incident. We are sorry for what happened."
