Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar sold his office space in Lower Parel, Mumbai, for Rs 8 crore, according to property registration documents accessed by Square Yards via the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) website. The deal was officially registered in April 2025.
The office space, located in One Place Lodha, features a carpet area of 106.56 sq m and includes two car parking spaces. The transaction incurred a stamp duty payment of Rs 48 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000.
Square Yards' analysis of IGR property registration documents reveals that the property was purchased by Akshay in December 2020 for Rs 4.85 crore and was recently sold for Rs 8 crore. With this, the actor reflected 65 per cent appreciation in value.
According to RERA, One Palace Lodha spans 1.08 acres and offers office spaces ranging from 179 sq ft to 27,392 sq ft. The average property price for the project stands at Rs 48,000 per sq ft.
It may be mentioned that Lower Parel is one of Mumbai's prime residential and commercial hubs. It offers seamless connectivity to business districts such as Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and Nariman Point.
Other Bollywood celebrities like Abhishek Bachchan, Shahid Kapoor and Manoj Bajpayee also own properties in Lower Parel.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay is currently garnering praises for his performance in Kesari Chapter 2. Within three days, the film has earned Rs 29.75 crore.
In the film, he played the role of advocate Sankaran Nair, who challenged the British Empire in court following the horrific Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. The film also stars Ananya Panday and R Madhavan and it has earned rave reviews from critics as well as the audience.
The actor will next be seen in films like Housefull 5, Welcome to the Jungle, Kannappa, Jolly LLB 3, Bhooth Bangla, Hera Pheri 3 and Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat in which he will be seen as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
