Actors Karan Veer Mehra and Nidhi Seth, who tied the knot in a grand ceremony in January 2021 afetr dating for quite some time, have officially parted ways. Their marriage reportedly hit troubled waters within the first few months itself, and they had been living separately for almost a year before getting officially divorced.
Karan and Nidhi reportedly got divorced three months ago. While the two have not released an official statement yet, Nidhi has hinted at "toxicity" in her marriage.
The actress told Times Of India that "toxicity in any relationship should not be accepted". She also added that mental peace, loyalty, respect and financial stability are key aspects for a smooth marriage.
Without getting into details, Nidhi told the portal that there are "certain personality traits" and behaviour which ruin relationships, but there is no way to know them before getting into relationships.
"There are deeper aspects that should be considered before getting into a relationship," she said.
Meanwhile, post the separation, Nidhi moved out their Mumbai home and she has been residing with her parents now in Bengaluru.
The actress stated that she is currently on a break from acting and she wants to focus all her energy to her interior designing career in Bengaluru.
"I love the weather, food and culture in Bengaluru, but whenever there is an interesting acting opportunity, I will come to Mumbai," she added.
About Karan and Nidhi
Karan and Nidhi first met each other during an ad shoot in 2008, but they soon lost touch. However, three years ago, they reconnected via friends and soon love blossomed between the two.
Within a year of dating, they tied the knot in a gurudwara in November 2021.
On the work front, Karan has been a part of several television shows including Pavitra Rishta, Ziddi Dil Maane Na, Woh Toh Hai Albelaa, and Baatein Kuch Ankahee Si, among others. He has also acted in the films Ragini MMS 2, Mere Dad Ki Maruti, and Badmashiyaan.
On the other hand, Nidhi has acted in Adaalat, Doon Kaand, and Hello, among others.
