Actor Atul Kulkarni Takes Empty Flight To Srinagar, Posts Pics From Terror-Stricken Pahalgam

Veteran actor Atul Kulkarni, known for being part of films like Rang De Basanti, Raees, Manikarnika and others, took a trip to Kashmir on Sunday, days after the horrifying terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam. He shared a photo of an empty flight to Srinagar and wrote, "We need to fill them again". He also shared photos from Pahalgam.

Veteran actor Atul Kulkarni, known for being part of films like Rang De Basanti, Raees, Manikarnika and others, took a trip to Kashmir on Sunday, days after the horrifying terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam. While he shared photos from the trip, the actor received severe backlash for enjoying in the face of crisis, which led him to disable the comments on social media.

On Sunday, Kulkarni took to his X handle to inform his followers that he was flying to Kashmir. He shared a picture of his flight ticket, and later, he shared another picture from inside the aircraft, which was completely empty, barring a couple of people. "Mumbai to Srinagar, Kashmir. Crew said these ran FULL. We need to fill them again (sic)," he wrote.

Kulkarni grabbed eyeballs after he shared photos from Pahalgam, where the terrorists had struck on April 22. The actor smiled and posed for photos, and he even interacted with the locals.

However, his trip seemed to upset netizens, who felt the actor was mocking the terror and tension in the region. "Sir please cross LOC also, don't just sit on benches (sic)," a user commented under his photo, while another wrote, "Time to unfollow".

As the backlash continued, Kulkarni disabled the comments under his posts from Kashmir, but continued posting photos and updates, nevertheless.

On April 22, terrorists infiltrated Pahalgam and in a shocking attack, killed 25 tourists and a local, who tried to save the tourists. While Pakistani army denied any wrongdoing on its part, terrorist outfit named The Resistance Front has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Several celebs, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, and others condemned the brutal attack and called for befitting action against the perpetrators.
