‘Aapas Mein Ladna Band Karo’: Badshah Shares A Cryptic Tweet Amid The Marathi-Hindi Language Controversy

Rapper and singer Badshah on Thursday took to X (Twitter) to share a cryptic post amid the Marathi-Hindi language controversy. He tweeted, “Bhai aapas mein ladna band karo, baahar bohot chaman baithe hain ladne ke liye (sic)."

For the past few weeks, we have been reading and watching about a lot of incidents in Maharashtra where people who don’t know the Marathi language are being attacked by the members of a political party, and they are told to speak in Marathi and not in Hindi. Not many celebrities have reacted to it, but on Thursday, rapper Badshah took to X to share a cryptic post and asked people not to fight.

He tweeted, “Bhai aapas mein ladna band karo, baahar bohot chaman baithe hain ladne ke liye (sic). (Brothers, stop fighting among yourselves; many people are sitting outside waiting to fight.)” Check out the tweet below…

Shilpa Shetty Reacts To The Marathi-Hindi Language Controversy

As we said earlier, not many celebrities have spoken about it. But, on Thursday, at the teaser launch of KD, when Shilpa Shetty was asked about the controversy, the actress said, "Mala Marathi maahit aahe. Me Maharashtrachi mulgi aahe (I know Marathi. I am a daughter of Maharashtra). But today, we are here to talk about KD. If you're trying to stir controversy beyond the film, we won't encourage that."

She further joked that their film KD is a multilingual movie, and they can dub it in Marathi as well.

Janhvi Kapoor’s Boyfriend Shares Post About The Controversy

Janhvi’s boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya, who is a businessman and comes from a political background, took to Instagram to share a post about the whole Hindi-Marathi language controversy. He posted, "Let our Marathi Asmita shine through inclusion, not intimidation. Let us protect Marathi by celebrating it, not weaponising it. Asmita, a sense of self and identity, should uplift, not divide. It should give us pride, not prejudice, no matter where in India we are from or what language we speak."
