Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has reportedly vowed to quit smoking if the second film of his son, Loveyapa, emerges to be a hit at the box office. Loveyapa, which is touted to be a romcom, will see Junaid share the screen with Boney Kapoor and Sridevi's daughter, Khushi Kapoor.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, Aamir has taken a 'mannat' (vow) that he will completely give up smoking if Loveyapa performs well in theatres. While the actor has not confirmed the statement himself, his vow shows that he is quite confident about the film doing wonders at the box office.

Earlier, Aamir told ANI that he has already watched the film, and he saw glimpses of Sridevi in Khushi. "I liked this film. It is very entertaining. The way our lives have turned out these days due to mobile phones, and the interesting things that happen in our lives because of technology, are shown in the film. All the actors have done a good job," he said.

"When I watched the film and saw Khushi, I felt that I was watching Sridevi. Her energy was there, I could see. I am a huge fan of Sridevi," he added.

Loveyapa, directed by Laal Singh Chaddha fame Advait Chandan, is set to release in theatres on February 7, at the beginning of the Valentine's Week.

Incidentally, Loveyapa is the first film for both Junaid and Khushi that will release in theatres. Junaid marked his acting debut in 2024 with the film, Maharaj, which released on OTT.

Khushi too marked her acting debut with The Archies, co-starring Suhana Khan and Agastya Nanda, and the musical had also released directly on OTT in 2023.
