About Meghalaya Murder Case
Sonam Raghuvanshi (24) and Raja Raghuvanshi (28) got married in Indore on May 11 and reportedly arrived in Meghalaya via Guwahati on May 20. However, they went missing on May 23 in Sohra, East Khasi Hills district, just hours after checking out of a homestay in Nongriat village. Ten days later, Raja's body was found in a gorge near Weisawdong Falls.
The Meghalaya Police then launched a search operation for Sonam. In the early hours of June 9, Sonam surrendered before police in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur, around 1,200 km away from where Raja's body was recovered.
Sonam was arrested along with her alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha, and three others for planning and executing Raja's murder.
