Bollywood star Aamir Khan is currently gearing up for the release of Sitaare Zameen Par, a remake of the 2018 Spanish film Champions. Ahead of its theatrical release on June 20, 2025, the 60-year-old actor has urged fans to avoid watching pirated versions of the film and to respect the hard work put in by the cast and crew. He also compared piracy to stealing.
In an interview with News 18, Aamir said, "When you watch a pirated version of a film, you’re unknowingly causing a lot of harm. Many people don’t realise the impact. If you wouldn’t steal a TV, then why is it okay to watch a pirated movie? It’s the same thing."

Furthermore, Khan stated that the film reflects the emotions and hard work of the 10 children, Genelia Deshmukh, R. S. Prasanna, the writer, each department head, and himself. "We want people to watch it the right way, not through piracy," he said.
"We’ll be hiring agencies to help prevent and reduce illegal sharing of the film," concluded Aamir.
Recently, Aamir confirmed that his 91-year-od mother, Zeenat Khan, and his sister, Nikhat Khan will appear in the movie.
Sitaare Zameen Par stars 10 newcomers - Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.

Earlier, reports suggested that after its theatrical run, Sitaare Zameen Par would skip major streaming platforms like Netflix, Prime Video, and Hotstar, and instead be available exclusively on YouTube via pay-per-view.
However, dismissing these claims, Aamir clarified on Raj Shamani's podcast that Sitaare Zameen Par will release only in theatres on June 20, and there will be no OTT release for the film.
