TNEA Rank List 2025 PDF Download: The Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Tamil Nadu, on Friday issued the TNEA 2025 rank list. The TNEA Rank List 2025 can be viewed and downloaded at tneaonline.org by candidates who have applied for the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counseling.
Candidates can check several key details in the TNEA 2025 rank list, including their overall rank, name, date of birth, application number, TNEA score out of 200, community, and their respective community rank.
This year, 2,39,299 candidates have been added to the general rank list for TNEA 2025. Out of them, candidates with a perfect 200 score have achieved ranks between 1 and 141. On the other hand, 8,657 candidates have been categorised as ineligible applications due to different eligibility criteria have not been fulfilled.
Applicants whose names feature in the TNEA 2025 rank list are eligible to take part in the counselling process. In order to get admitted, they are required to perform every step beginning with choice filling, seat allotment, accepting the seat, and lastly reporting to the allotted institution before the deadlines expire.
The ranking has been done on the basis of normalised Class 12 marks, with a heavier weightage to Mathematics. The marks in Mathematics were scaled up to 100, while Physics and Chemistry scores contributed 100 each, making 200 marks used for the purpose of ranking.
Where two or more candidates had tied scores, the tie was resolved by a series of criteria in order: first, performance in individual subjects, then overall percentage in Class 12. If the tie still persisted, the date of birth of the candidate was considered, with priority being given to the older candidate. As a last resort, the random number drawn by TNEA was applied, with the greater number taking precedence.
