There are 1340 tentative openings for junior engineers in the civil, mechanical, and electrical fields across a number of Government of India Ministries, Departments, and Organisations.

SSC JE 2025: Steps to apply
Go to ssc.gov.in, the Staff Selection Commission's (SSC) official website.
On the homepage, look for the "Apply" or "SSC One-Time Registration OTR" link.
You must register as a new user by providing basic information such as your name, email address, mobile number, etc.
You will receive a registration ID and password upon successful registration.
Complete the application by providing your personal information, educational background, and any other pertinent information that is requested.
Upload scanned copies of your signature and photo in accordance with the guidelines provided in the notification.
Use one of the available online payment methods to pay the necessary application costs, then submit.
The application form can be downloaded and saved for later use.

SSC JE Salary Structure (As per 7th Pay Commission - Level 6)
Pay Scale: ₹35,400 – ₹1,12,400 per month
Basic Pay (Initial): ₹35,400
In-hand Salary: ₹44,000 – ₹52,000 per month (approximate)
Dearness Allowance (DA): Around 50% of basic pay
House Rent Allowance (HRA):
- 27% of basic pay for Class X cities
- 18% for Class Y cities
- 9% for Class Z cities
Travel Allowance (TA): As per government norms
