Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on Friday released the final result of the Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2024, which concludes the recruitment process for all translator posts in different central government ministries and departments.
The Paper-I result was already declared on February 14, 2025, and 2,146 candidates had qualified to take the Paper-II (Descriptive), which was held on March 29, 2025.
Final Choice and Post Allotment
After the examination, applicants were asked to fill out their Option-cum-Preference for departments and posts online between June 9 and June 14, 2025, according to SSC's notice of June 9. Of these, 1,736 applicants who fulfilled this process were eligible for the final selection.
Subject to the candidates' aggregate scores in Paper-I and Paper-II and their preferences for post, the SSC has now published the final result of 272 candidates who have been provisionally appointed to various Ministries, Departments, and Offices of the Government of India.
Tie-Breaking and Candidate Allocation
Where candidates had the same overall marks, the Commission broke the tie based on the following order of criteria:
-Total marks in Paper-II
-Marks in General Hindi (Part I of Paper-I)
-Date of birth (older candidates were higher in rank)
-Alphabetical order of names

Document Verification & Appointment
The user departments so allocated will now conduct document verification (DV) and final appointment formalities for the shortlisted candidates. The candidates are requested to wait for communication from their concerned departments. In case of no communication within a period of six months from the date of result declaration, they should contact the concerned department directly.
SSC has mentioned clearly that no waiting list or reserve has been made. All unfilled vacancies or positions left vacant for non-joining will be forwarded to the subsequent recruitment cycle.
