OSSC CRE Recruitment 2025: Vacancy details
A total of 906 applicants have been selected to take the Main test. The recruitment effort intends to fill 74 openings, including 24 for Junior Stenographer (District Offices), 43 for Junior Stenographer, 5 for Junior Grade Typist, and 2 for Typist-cum-Scribe Assistant.
OSSC CRE Mains 2025: Exam details
The main written exam will take place in Bhubaneshwar on August 30th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The reporting time is 2:00 p.m. In objective-type multiple-choice questions, each incorrect answer will result in a 0.25-mark deduction.
OSSC CRE Recruitment 2025: Age limit
The upper age limit for all posts in this recruitment is 32 years, as of January 1, 2025.
1. For Junior Stenographers in the EIC, Water Resources, Bhubaneswar, and Typist-cum-Scribe Assistants in the Law Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, the age range is 21 to 32 years.
2. Junior Stenographers in the Advocate General, Odisha, Cuttack, and the Directorate of Treasuries and Inspection must be between 18 and 32 years of age.
3. For Junior Grade Typists in the Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Services, the eligible age range is also 21 to 32 years.

The applicants will be shortlisted based on the results of the preliminary exam, main exam, physical standard test, and certificate verification.
OSSC CRE Recruitment 2025: Salary details
The salary structure for different posts is as follows:
Junior Stenographers across all departments, including the EIC, Water Resources, Bhubaneswar; Advocate General, Odisha, Cuttack; and Directorate of Treasuries and Inspection, will receive a salary ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹81,100 under Level 7.
Meanwhile, Junior Grade Typists in the Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Services and Typist-cum-Scribe Assistants in the Law Department, Odisha, Bhubaneswar, will receive a salary between ₹19,900 and ₹63,200 under Level 4.
