The UGC NET December 2024 exam, which was originally set for January 15, 2025, has been postponed by the National Testing Agency, or NTA, due to Pongal, Makar Sankranti, and other celebrations. Those who wish to take the UGC NET exam can view the official announcement on the UGC NET website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.
The official notice reads, “The National Testing Agency has received representation to postpone the UGC - NET December 2024 examination on account of Pongal, Makar Sankranti and other festival on 15th January 2025. In the interest of aspirants, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to Postpone the UGC - NET December 2024 Exam scheduled on 15th January 2025 only. The New date of exam will announce later.”
The exam that was originally planned for January 16, 2025, will take place as planned.

Exam pattern:
According to the report, the UGC NET 2024 exam be administered CBT to 85 centers. Paper 1 is worth 100 marks and has 50 questions, whereas Paper 2 is worth 200 marks and has 100 questions. Paper 1 is one hour long, and Paper 2 is two hours long. There will be two sections on the test paper. There will be multiple-choice, objective-type questions in both parts. The papers won't be separated in any way. With the exception of language papers, question papers will only be available in Hindi and English.
