The Rajasthan High Court has announced that none of the candidates who appeared for the Limited Competitive Examination for promotion to the District Judge cadre in 2024 have been found suitable. The written test was held on March 8th and 9th, 2025.

Details on the next steps and possible re-examinations have yet to be announced by the exam authorities.

The result of this examination, which was eagerly awaited by many legal professionals in the state, has raised significant attention due to the lack of qualified candidates.

In another notification, the Rajasthan High Court has notified the vacancies in the District Judge Cadre for the year 2025-26. The total number of vacancies for the upcoming year is 41, which includes the following breakdown:

- Vacancies for Direct Recruitment: 1

- Vacancies for Promotion via Limited Competitive Examination: 1

- Vacancies for Regular Promotion: 36

Additionally, 3 future vacancies are noted, which have not been assigned to any category at present. These vacancies will be allocated according to the roster system in case of any future vacancies arising due to death, elevation, dismissal, or other reasons, as per the resolution of the Hon'ble Full Court dated May 24, 2012.
