NIET: Apurv Jha who is a 2nd-year B.Tech (Data Science) student at Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET) in Greater Noida publically denounced abusive circumstances that threaten student welfare and faculty appropriateness. The confession video goes viral on social media.

According to the video, on April 19th, Apurv attended his regular class where using his mobile phone was typical behavior leading to the standard teacher reprimand. However, the situation escalated unexpectedly. The student alleges the class teacher confiscated the phone from him before continuing with his aggressive behaviour. The student experienced bullying in college when the teacher shouted abuse at him while other students watched.

After the incident, Apurv thought to sort things out with the teacher in his enclosed office. What followed, however, was shocking. The teacher physically attacked him according to the video, while the assault severely affected his mental and emotional state.

Apurv attempted to receive support from academic senior faculty who responded with complete silence. The administration refused to support his plight while looking at the whole situation.

This incident is not isolated. As per the viral post, the students of NIET have consistently reported their distress about institutional pressure methods, particularly regarding payment requests and hostile academic environments which generate psychological distress. According to many observers, such environments have led to numerous severe mental health problems throughout the campus.

Netizens reactions

Students and social media users dramatically reacted with outrage to the situation by demanding tough action against the offender. Social media users are using Instagram to tag @uppolice to push authorities toward investigating this matter and establishing responsible action against the teacher.

Internet users filled the comment sections with their views. One user wrote, "Y'all tagging UP police to help him and he's a boy back out no point these private colleges should be taken strict action." Another user wrote, "The bright education system of India." A third user said, "Government where are u?"

The situation demonstrates that educational institutions must establish robust anti-harassment policies as well as protect student welfare.
