NEET UG 2025 Counselling: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the Round 1 seat matrix for NEET UG Counselling 2025, initiating the admission cycle for MBBS and BDS programs in participating colleges. Registered applicants are now able to view the seat matrix on the official website at mcc.nic.in.
The window for Round 1 counselling registration has been opened from July 21 to July 28, 2025. MCC will carry out the admission process in three major rounds and then a stray vacancy round to fill any vacant seats.
On July 31, 2025, the results of the first round's seat allocation will be made public. After its announcement, candidates who get seats allotted will have to undergo document verification and report to the colleges allotted to them as per the MCC's official timeline.
The counselling comprises seats under a range of quotas and top institutions all over India, i.e.,
-15% of All India Quota (AIQ) MBBS/BDS seats from the majority of states (not Jammu and Kashmir, unless they choose to join)
-100% seats across AIIMS institutions in the country
-100% MBBS/BDS seats at Banaras Hindu University (BHU)
-100% of seats at JIPMER campuses in Puducherry and Karaikal
-100% of seats at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)
-85% state quota seats at Delhi University (DU), IP University (VMMC/ABVIMS/ESIC Dental)
-100% of seats in Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, with a 5% internal quota for students of Jamia
-15% Insured Persons (IP) Quota seats under ESIC
