Mumbai: EU Chambers of Commerce India to host Education Summit on March 17

Mumbai: The Council of European Union (EU) Chamber of Commerce in India under the aegis of the Education Committee is set to organise its 2nd EU India Education Summit on Friday, March 17 at the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai. 

Understanding the changing landscape of transnational partnerships for higher education & skills and building an inclusive educational ecosystem for global challenges through EU-India stakeholders will be one of the major aims of the summit, which would be having the presence of dignitaries in the field of education, diplomacy, business, and more. 

The summit will have the presence of Maharashtra’s Cabinet Minister for School Education, Shri Deepak Kesarkar as the Chief Guest with Mr. Peeyush Kaushik, President, EU Chambers, and Director, Dr. Renu Shome in the inaugural session. The Summit will be chaired by Prof. Dr. Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, Prin. L.N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research (WeSchool) and Co-Chairman, Prof. T. M Sathyanarayanan, Director, Overseas Education Consultancy Services.

The sessions, which will be conducted in two parts would see the participation of dignitaries as Mr. Erik af Hällström, Consul General, Consulate, General of Finland, Mumbai, Mr. Ferenc Jari, Consul General, Consulate General of Hungary, Mumbai, Ms. Vanesa Álvarez Franco, Economic and Commercial Counsellor, Economic & Commercial Office in Mumbai, Embassy of Spain in India, Mr. Arun Thekkedath, Chief Representative Officer, Nuffic | Neso India, Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Koustubh Kanade, Vice-President Marketing & Executive Projects, B Braun Medical, Prof. Christer Nygren, Lecturer in Innovation Management, Malardalen University, Sweden, Mrs. Maud LE BARS, South Asia Area Manager India Office Global School, Rennes School of Business, France, Prof. Lars Hulgaard, Prof of Social Entrepreneurship, Roskilde University, Denmark, and Mr. Kartikeya A, OSD to Minister of Finance & Skill Development, Government of Andhra Pradesh.   

With foreign universities eyeing India amid the growth in Indian students going abroad, representatives from institutions based in countries such as Sweden, France, and Denmark will discuss the solutions to global challenges for an educational ecosystem.
