Around 14,16,371 students appeared for Maharashtra HSC 2023, with 12,92,468 candidates having passed the exam
The HSC Class 12 exams were held from February 21 to March 21, 2023. The exams were conducted in 5,033 exam centers across the state for students across all three streams - arts, science, and commerce. A total of 14,28,194 students appeared for the examination.

Pass percentage drops across CBSE, ISC, and HSC boards
Maharashtra HSC Class 12 Results saw a dip in pass percentage which was recorded at last year's 91.25% as compared to last year's 94.22%.
For ISC class 12th, this year the pass percentage was recorded at 96.93% marking a dip from last year's 99.38%.
CBSE Class 12 board saw a drop of 1.28% as the year's overall pass percentage is down to 93.12% as compared to 94.40% last year.

In light of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announcing the HSC/Class 12 results at mahahsscboard.in, authorities have released phone numbers in order for the students to talk to counsellors in case they have negative thoughts or other grievances with regards to the results.

Maharashtra HSC Result 2023: Science students on top in Mumbai Division too
As many as 3,29,337 students took the Maharashtra HSC Board exam from Mumbai division in 2023. Of these, 1,05,749 students appeared for science recording a pass percentage of 91.18%
Only 47,446 students appeared for the arts exams with a pass percentage of 80.89% and as many as 1,71,509 students students appeared for commerce exams recording a pass percentage of 88.15%.

As many as 3,29,337 students appeared for the Maharashtra HSC Class 12 exam from Mumbai division in 2022-2023. Of these, 3,21,337 students appeared for the exam and 2,90,258 students cleared the Class 12 boards, bringing the division's pass percentage to 88.13%.

Maharashtra HSC Results 2023: Six extra marks to be awarded in HSC English paper
The Maharashtra board has decided to award six marks for the error in the first paper of Higher Secondary Education (HSC) which took place on February 21.
MSBSHSE in a statement said that after a meeting among the Board of Studies and subject experts it has come to the fore that there was an error in the English paper and students attempting the question will be given additional 6 marks.
