JIPMAT Exam Analysis 2025: The Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) 2025, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), was conducted on April 26, 2025. The test, which is the door to admission to the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) at IIM Jammu and IIM Bodh Gaya, was administered in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The test, which began at 3 PM and concluded at 5:30 PM, consisted of 100 questions, each carrying 4 marks. The marking system of the test had a penalty of 1 mark for every wrong answer.
Karan Mehta, Toprankers Co-Founder, presented an analysis of the exam:
The general level of difficulty (LOD) of JIPMAT 2025 was found to be moderate, much like the exam last year. There were no surprises, and the paper was reported to track closely the patterns seen in Supergrads mock tests and study materials.
JIPMAT Exam Analysis 2025: Section-wise Breakdown
The test consisted of three major segments: Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DI & LR), and Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VA & RC). Let us discuss the segments in detail.
Quantitative Aptitude (QA): QA section had 33 questions carrying a total of 132 marks. All questions were easy to moderate in level, and topics covered were some of the following: Profit & Loss, Averages, Time & Work, Simple & Compound Interest, and Geometry. No advanced-level mathematics topics were there, just as students have been expecting.
Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DI & LR): Also containing 33 questions, this section contained a total of 132 marks. The DI questions were on tables, pie charts, and bar graphs. Students considered this section simple, with questions based on blood relations, circular arrangements, and coding-decoding. There were no non-verbal reasoning or critical reasoning questions.
Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VA & RC): Having 34 questions and 136 marks, this section proved to be the toughest. The RC passage was based on inference, and students marked it higher as tough in vocabulary and comprehension. Synonyms, antonyms, error spotting, and grammar questions were posed.

Most were of the view that the Quantitative Aptitude section was straightforward, with nothing very difficult about mathematics, yet some students encountered slight flaws in question formation. The Logical Reasoning section was easy, but the Verbal Ability section was as expected with higher complexity when compared to prior years.
