Mumbai: Mood Indigo, the flagship cultural festival of IIT Bombay, returns on December 25. Known as Asia’s largest student-driven cultural event, the 2024 edition promises a spectacular showcase of talent, art, and innovation, offering world-class experiences free for college students. Mood Indigo has always been a platform where luminaries from various fields converge, and the 2024 edition is no exception.

The Eloquence Panel this year features actor Abhay Verma, filmmakers Nitanshi Goel and Sparsh Shrivastava of Lapataa Ladies fame, and acclaimed director Anubhav Sinha, alongside former Union Minister Suresh Prabhu. These celebrated voices are set to bring diverse perspectives to the stage, adding depth and dynamism to the festival.

Festival's Comedy Segment

The festival’s comedy segment, Humorfest, will see Harsh Gujral delivering his unique brand of humour, continuing the legacy of standout performances by comedic greats like Zakir Khan and Abhishek Upmanyu in previous editions. Adding to the excitement, announcements of more performers are still on the horizon.

Over the years, Mood Indigo has played host to Bollywood icons like Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, and Pankaj Tripathi as well as political stalwarts such as Smriti Irani and Nirmala Sitharaman. This blend of artistry and influence makes every iteration of the festival an unmissable affair. Singers Armaan Malik, Raftaar and Sonu Nigam are set to headline performances on December 25, 26, and 27, respectively, offering audiences three unforgettable nights of music.

The International Music Festival, a highlight of the event, brings together diverse global sounds, including Norway’s Toddla, Germany’s Tir Nan OG, and India’s Lohar the Blacksmiths. The festival’s World Fiesta adds another layer of artistic excellence, featuring acts like the Tango Furia Company from Argentina, Vanabond from the UK, and the captivating Huang GJ, a Taiwanese fringe juggler.
