Viral Video: Gurpreet Kaur, a resident of Khadoor Sahib in Punjab's Tarn Taran district, recently shared a video outside the gates of Jaipur's Poornima University, stating she was not allowed to sit for a judiciary entry test at the university. The social media post has gone viral, with debate rampant over administrative transparency and student rights.

Officiating Jathedar, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj shared the video on X, and wrote, "Denying Entry to Amritdhari Candidates in Rajasthan High Court Judge Exam a Major Constitutional Violation & Anti-Sikh Discrimination. Shiromani Akali Dal & SGPC should form a joint delegation & raise matter with GOI & Rajasthan for permanent resolution."

In the video, she is standing outside the entrance gate of the university describing her experience, stating that she was denied entry to the exam because she was wearing her religious articles of faith (Kakaars) and was asked to remove them. The event has sparked reports of suspected procedural missteps and demands for inquiry from student organizations. Poornima University has not made a public response so far.

Gurpreet's clip has struck a chord, especially with prospective candidates in rural Punjab, reflecting greater worries regarding level playing field access to education. Commenters have shown sympathy and called for greater clarification of exam eligibility criteria, raising concerns that genuine candidates could be discriminated against. The concern reflects wider systemic issues affecting students making long-distance commutes across states for higher-level competitive exams.

The authorities have been asked to investigate the case, with local activist organizations demanding explanations from Poornima University administration and the conducting authority of the exams. Gurpreet's case reminds us about the need for clear communication and transparent eligibility enforcement in exam procedures. It also highlights how social media gives applicants courage in publicly raising complaints when institutional avenues seem out of reach.

As investigations progress, many people await finding out if the university will shed light on exam entry guidelines and provide a solution to Gurpreet and others similarly placed. In the meantime, her video keeps trending, mirroring increasing aspirations among candidates for institutional responsibility in learning.
